‘Ohe Kāpala – Bamboo Stamping

Discover the art, history, and techniques of ‘ohe kāpala, the Hawaiian tradition of bamboo stamp printing. Rooted in tatau (tattooing) and fiber printing across Polynesia, ‘ohe kāpala continues to be used for fabric design, hula skirts, kapa (bark cloth), and more, offering a meaningful way for Hawaiians to connect with their ancestors. In this workshop, participants will have the opportunity to create their own postcards, using ‘ohe kāpala, plants, and other natural materials to send to friends and loved ones.

Activity meets in the hotel lobby.

No-Show Fee: If you find you are unable to attend after booking, we ask that you cancel your reservation at least one hour prior to the activity to avoid a no-show fee of $50.
